im planning a trip to america in a few months and im deterimined to come back with a confederate flag.
a few yearsn ago i recall seeing a film starring elvis, he played a mechanic or something similar who was stranded somewhere with either his sister or girlfriend and children and they had no money. i may be hazy on details. he looked quite young. its now bugging me what it was called!
you're so lucky. I was just there 2 months ago, I did a road trip from upstate NY to Savannah, GA, and spent 3 days in D.C. It wasn't nearly enough time...
a road trip of sorts. im determined to use those Greyhound buses.
if i had enough cash id love to spend a week in LA, seeing the sights then get a bus right across to alabama then onto washington. i dont think my funds would stretch that far.
The food in New Orleans is amazing. We spent last Thanksgiving there with friends (our Brit fiends actually) and had 2-3 hour meals every night followed by a bar and/or jazz club. Yes N.O. is where Mardi Gras occurs, however I stay clear of that nightmare and actually try to avoid Bourbon St. altogether when I go there being as my first night there these stupid drunk jocks screamed at us to show them our "tits".

well he starred in about 30 films, he was probably stranded with a girlfirend, that sounds just about right.
also, unfortunately you'll find plenty of confederate flags if any of your travels are south of the mason dixon line.

Ugh, that would be too long of a trip on a greyhound don't you tink? (LA to DC).
You'll have plenty to see and do where you're going now. Save LA for another time perhaps. 2 totally different worlds.
Do you think you'll hit New Orleans? Now thats a city I highly recommend!
